Abstract | Several studies have reported the relationships among emotional intelligence, academic achievement, job satisfaction, and locus of control; however few of them explore the effects of emotional intelligence and locus of control on the life satisfaction of emerging adults. The current research aims to assess the effect of Emotional Intelligence and Locus of Control on the Life Satisfaction of young adults (aged 18 to 30 years). The study comprises 111 adults (N=111; males = 50, females = 61). The results indicate a significant positive relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Life Satisfaction of young adults (r=.348, p˂0.001). According to the findings of the present study, people with high emotional intelligence assess their lives more positively and have better emotional health. |
