| Abstract | Background: Muscle hypertrophy, a primary outcome of resistance training, is often associated with increased muscle mass and strength; however, its influence on joint range of motion (ROM) and flexibility remains a subject of debate. While hypertrophied muscles may enhance force production, they may also impose mechanical and neuromuscular constraints on joint mobility. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the influence of muscle hypertrophy on joint ROM and flexibility by comparing bodybuilders and non-bodybuilders. |
