| Abstract | Assessment plays a vital role in early childhood education by helping teachers monitor children’s learning, development, and instructional needs through developmentally appropriate practices. However, despite the promotion of authentic and child-centered assessment tools, teachers often face challenges related to implementation, resources, and alignment with classroom realities, particularly in the Philippine context. This study explores preschool teachers’ perceptions, practices, and challenges regarding the use of developmentally appropriate assessment tools in selected schools in Cebu, Philippines. |
