| Abstract | Convergence and digital finance and sustainability convergence has generated new institutional solutions, which comprise digital green bonds and ESG-linked FinTech solutions. They are not merely the financial products, but hypothetical constructions of the flow of financial resources, the democratization of the capital markets, the mechanisms of incorporating environmental and social governance into financial flows, and the restructuring of institutional standards in the emerging economies. This paper is devoted to building a theoretical perspective on these innovations, in the framework of the financial inclusion theory, the institutional innovation theory, and sustainability transition frameworks. It argues that digital green bonds and ESG-related platforms are transformational engines that increase participation, transparency, and bringing about systemic transitions towards low-carbon economies. The analysis puts these instruments into a wider argument of how these instruments are juxtaposed in the context of sustainable finance. |
